What does a reviewer do?

All buyers have an approver, who is designated by the Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Administrator to see all Shopping Carts that exceed the buyer's spending limit or which fall into a special class of purchases (such as cell phones and portable computers).

Unlike an Approver, a Reviewer is not designated. You may, at your discretion, nominate a Reviewer for a Shopping Cart, because you would like them to know about or want their opinion on your purchase.

If you designate a reviewer for your Shopping Cart, it is forwarded to them for review, in addition to any approval that may (or may not) be required.

The reviewer is not required to approve the Shopping Cart, but you may want them to comment on the purchase, or to be aware of it. For example, if you are ordering a new workstation, you may want someone in the IT department to review your selection and prepare the necessary network connection.

You can add a reviewer, or an additional approver, in the Shopping Cart page, before checking out.
