Administration

There are two types of Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Administration:

If you have Administrator privilege, to use the Administration application:

  1. Go to the Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition home page.

  2. Click in the Services drop-down menu, and select Administration.

    The browser displays the Administration application page.

    This page contains two frames:

Using the Tree Menu

The left-hand side of the Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Administration application page contains a menu that you can expand or collapse. 

This menu contains a nested list of items that you can manage in Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Administration. Menu items may be configuration actions the Administration application can perform, or the names of users, user groups, roles, suppliers, and so on, that can be configured by the configuration tools:

  1. Click on a menu item

    Information about item is displayed in the Configuration Form, on the right-hand side of the browser window.

A pointer is displayed to the left of menu items that have other items contained in them: 

  1. Click to expand the menu and view the contained items

  2. Click to close up the menu and hide the contained items again.

Administrative tasks that you can perform appear in red or blue text in the tree menu:

Some items in the menu typically have a large list of items. For example, a list of users in an Enterprise is usually large. To eliminate long lists from appearing in the left-hand frame of the browser window, you can customize this menu to add items that you regularly access, or remove those that you do not:
  1. Click on an item that contains a long list, and a Large List Search Pop-up window is displayed. 

  2. Search the list and select an item.

  3. Add or remove the item from the Tree Menu by:

For example, if you want to have a particular supplier's name displayed in the Tree Menu:

  1. Click Add Supplier to Menu
  2. Find and click that suppliers name in the displayed list
  3. Click Add To Menu
