This is the most common
role in Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition. Most of the people
who need to search for items, add and delete items in a Shopping Cart, and submit the
Shopping Cart for processing are users.
- Shopping Carts from
users
are reviewed by the system. If they comply with the organization's business rules,
Orders are issued to suppliers.
- Shopping Carts that do not comply
with business rules (e.g., the Shopping Cart dollar amount exceeds their Spending Limit) are routed through the
system workflow to
an approver (specified in the User Profile) for
approval, or to an ad hoc approver or , designated by the user.
- The Shopping Cart may also be routed through the workflow to an ad hoc reviewer designated by a user, or by an
approver.
- Buyers can view the status of
their own Shopping Carts.
- Buyers cannot view and are not
required to resolve problems with other users' Shopping Carts.
- Buyers cannot view or resolve
problems with Orders.
