In Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition, you can use Desktop Receiving to acknowledge receipt of goods by comparing the following:

• Items in the shipment
• Packing slip accompanying the shipment
• Originating Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Order

Desktop Receiving assumes that shipments go directly to the buyer who ordered the items.  Receiving procedures can vary between organizations. For example, it may involve a combination of dock receiving, dock distribution, and desktop receiving. Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition handles only the desktop receiving portion of this process. Shipments may pass through the dock, but are not actually received at the dock.  Organizations that have existing dock receiving and dock distribution processes, and receive products on the dock, may regard desktop receiving as optional.

Locating Items Ready to be Received

1. Go to the Enterprise Buyer 2.0 Desktop Edition Home page
   
   

2. Click:

• Orders, in the Confirm Goods Receipt menu, on the Home page to view, the Receiving List page, a list of Orders with items ready to be received.

or

• Click Orders, in the Check Status menu, on the Home page to view the Order Status page, a list of all current Orders.
  
  

3. In either list, click beside any order.
   
   The browser displays the Receipt Entry page.

If an Order does not yet contain any receivable items: It does not appear in the Receiving List page It appears in the Order Status page, without the Action icon
